The Fab
Academy began as an outreach project from the CBA, and has since spread
to Fab Labs around the world. The program provides advanced digital
fabrication instruction for students through an unique, hands-on
curriculum and access to technological tools and resources.
Fab Academy courses require access to a participating fab lab. Fab Lab Madrid CEU is one of the Laboratories qualified to teach Fab Academy.

Classes are taught in fab labs through video lectures by a global
faculty. Hands-on class work is guided by instructors in the local labs.
Neil Gershenfeld’s global lectures begin on January 22, 2014. Global
lectures take place on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am – 12:00 pm EST
(15:00 – 18:00 Spain). The lectures are recorded and are available
online after class.
